Ipod with Vacuum Tubes

While we typically focus on lossless audio formats one of the goals of The L.A.B is to help you achieve the best audio quality possible. With that in mind we couldn’t resist showing you an interesting approach to some Ipod docking stations.
Two UK companies have developed Ipod docking stations that implement vaccum tubes, vacuum tubes have typically been used in audiophile grade amplifiers and have a sound all there own that is very warm.
Roth Audio has the Music Cocoon MC4 with 2 new models to be released at a later date, the MC8 and the MC12.1. Another purveyor is Fatman Audio who offer a complete line of docking stations that utilize vacuum tubes. The iTube series is available with just the ValveDock docking station or as a package with your choice of either the iTube 182 or iTube 252 amplifier. There is no denying that these models are works of art.
