Neodigits, the makers of the Helios X-Line of media players has a new network HD media player on deck that packs a wide variety of audio and video formats into a stylish black metal case. Some of the supported formats include MP3,OGG, AAC, FLAC as well as XVID/DIVX. The X5000 also supports the various High Definition video formats like XVID HD, DIVX HD and WMV HD. Another interesting feature is the NeoLink Server software which allows you to access audio, video and photos stored on your PC and the NeoLink software is compatible with Apple iTunes, Real Rhapsody and Napster and also supports Windows Media and WinAmp playlists.
Based on Sigma Designs EM8620L Chipset which is used by other players such as the Bravo D3 and the Kiss DP-1500, the Helios X5000 is built on quality hardware including a Wolfson DAC and Burr-Brown OPAmp with a long feature list of features. While wired connectivity is only 10/00 the X5000 does have 802.11g with WPA security. Some of the more notable features include:
